Are you interested in working with labor law in the banking and finance sector? Swedbank AB is now looking for an experienced labor law attorney to join the HR Legal team within Group Legal. With us, you will have the opportunity to work both operationally and strategically with qualified labor law advice and financial regulations.
At Swedbank, you have the opportunity to:
Become part of the HR Legal team and support the bank in labor law matters primarily to Group HR and other group-wide functions as well as companies within the group.
Provide ongoing advice on labor law issues such as employment, outsourcing, business changes, terminations, difficult individual cases, compensation, salary and pensions, workplace environment issues, rehabilitation, discrimination, GDPR and privacy issues, as well as other labor law matters within the entire HR area. Security issues and drafting agreements and governing documents are also part of the job.
Work collaboratively in close dialogue with our trade union organizations to develop and maintain good labor relations.
Participate in and lead various types of union negotiations.
Conduct training for Swedish and foreign managers.
Collaborate with two other labor law attorneys in the HR Legal team. You are also part of the entire legal function at Swedbank and have the opportunity to build valuable relationships in a complex and exciting banking group.
Mainly handle Swedish issues but also coordinate certain matters with lawyers in other countries where Swedbank operates.
Participate in collaborative forums and networks with the employer organization Finansarbetsgivarna.
Work with AI tools for lawyers.
In this role, you need:
A law degree and several years of experience in qualified labor law work in companies, law firms, and/or within an employer or employee organization.
Solid experience in union negotiations. Protecting good labor relations is of great importance to Swedbank.
Interest in regulatory issues related to financial regulations from the Financial Supervisory Authority (FI) and the European Banking Authority (EBA). Compliance with FI's and EBA's regulations in the HR area is important in Swedbank's operations. Knowledge of these regulations is an advantage.
The ability to balance legal requirements and business acumen while maintaining high integrity.
Excellent ability to express yourself both verbally and in writing, and also have very good knowledge of English in speech and writing.
The ability to work both independently and collaboratively with others and create sustainable and long-term relationships. Project work is common. You have a pragmatic approach and work proactively to find solutions. You are confident in your positions and drive the work forward to achieve goals.
It is an advantage for the position if you have knowledge of how an HR organization works and how labor law is integrated into all relevant areas. Knowledge of the financial sector's security work is also an advantage.
